Hi, I’m Amanda — and I’m passionate about helping adult pianists build confidence, consistency, and meaningful progress at the piano.
If you’ve ever felt frustrated trying to balance piano with a busy life, you’re not alone. Between work, responsibilities, family life, and everything else competing for your attention, finding time — and energy — to practice can feel incredibly difficult.
I understand that struggle personally.
My own piano journey began when I started lessons at age 7, and honestly, I can’t remember a time when music wasn’t part of my life. Some of my earliest memories revolve around sitting at the piano, learning new pieces, and simply enjoying the experience of playing.
I eventually continued my piano studies in college and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
But despite years of lessons and formal training, one thing I struggled with for a long time was practicing effectively.
Like many pianists, I often spent hours at the piano without feeling like I was making the kind of progress I wanted. Over time, I became deeply interested in learning how to practice more efficiently, more intentionally, and with less tension and frustration.
That journey completely changed the way I approach piano playing.
Today, alongside my full-time career, I continue to maintain an active musical life through regular piano and organ playing, personal practice, ongoing learning, and occasionally teaching students.
Through this site, I share:
- practical piano practice strategies
- honest encouragement for adult learners
- helpful resources and tools
- reviews of programs and apps
- insights from my own experiences as a lifelong pianist balancing music with a busy life
I especially love helping:
- returning pianists
- adult beginners
- overwhelmed musicians
- people struggling with consistency or confidence
- adults trying to reconnect with music in a meaningful way
I believe there is no single “perfect” path to learning piano.
You do not need:
- endless free time
- perfect discipline
- or extraordinary talent
to become a better pianist.
You simply need a realistic approach, consistent small steps, and a love for learning.
I’m glad you’re here, and I hope this site helps make your piano journey feel more encouraging, achievable, and enjoyable!
